| The season started without any loss of swarms. On may 1st I started breeding. Everything I did was successful due to the excellent summer weather. I even had to give away some queens because I had too many. Actually I had to pinch off some of them, because I could not find a new place for them. The JP9831 and JP9855 have been changed. It happened during a period when I was very busy. They took me by surprise. I was lucky that I had breeded and inseminated enough descendants of JP9831 and JP9855 before the change took place. There are still some varroa mites present although in a very small number. This winter the swarm will not need any treatment for the fourth year. The new breeding queen JP9945 functions very well. They get a lot of honey, are very hygienic and have almost no varroa. However they must be handled with a little smoke and they are a little restless on the window. On my fertilization station stood the JP9855 and for the year 2000 the JP9855 will be there again. After consultation my station will be accessible for everyone who is interested. | ||||||
