De zeer vroege zomerse dagen tijdens de voorjaarsdracht (zes weken lang warm weer), zorgden ervoor dat er geen water bij de wortels van de koolzaadplanten was en dat de bijen op de kanariegele velden minder haalden dan in andere jaren. (volksgemiddelde 30 kilo i.p.v. 50kilo in andere jaren). De teelt aan het einde van de dracht voorliep voorspoedig; mooie koninginnen die vlot aan de leg waren. De zomer met een natte julimaand tijdens de bloei van de linde, zorgde voor een gemiddelde tot goede zomeroogst, afhankelijk van de standplaats. Toch genoeg mooie dagen voor het slagen van de teelt. De heide maakte het jaar goed. | ||||||
